    The Chrysalis - difficulty

Any chance of getting this nerfed? Or Echo applied? (Even though I guess canonically it would not be for the encounter?)

A friend and I have been trying this for a week with no success. It seems tuned way too high for PUGs. Considering asking S-E for money back on Heavensward if we remain locked out of its content due to this.

According to one guy in our group who rage quitted after 2 wipes " its the easiest fight in the game". Funny though after he left we cleared it (pug group).

I hated that fight, took me a week after it came out to clear it... no one knew what to do for the longest time, it was awful.
Eventually people figured out what to do and I cleared it.

Funny, I've started doing trial roulette and it came up (uuugh) but we all one-shot it. I think there were maybe two new people in the fight, too.
Just keep at it. If you want, try to get a party finder group together and ask for help.

Ok, SPOILER ALERT, there's one simple trick to beating this SUPER EASY. Every run I do, I share this with the party, and we beat it on the first try.

When the ascian creates a portal in the middle of the room, RUN AWAY. Just keep running towards the edge of the arena. The reason why is he puts a debuff on you that massively increases damage taken, and the duration gets multiplied when you enter the portal. By running away for a bit, the debuff will wear off! For even better success, use buffs right before the debuff wears off, such as vigilance, divine seal, raging strikes, etc. Those will also get multiplied when you enter, so instead of taking massive damage during the meteor section, you'll be super buffed!

Personally I think that The Chrysalis is one of the easiest trials. There aren't really any tough mechanics or difficult dodging throughout the fight. It's just a matter of doing the meteor phase properly. Whenever I get it in trial roulette it's a one-shot.

Is there a recurring issue that is causing wipes?

If I were on your server I'd be more than happy to help. I would suggest creating a Party Finder group for help.

Yeah, people who aren't familiar with the fight not following instructions.

It's definitely not one of the easier fights in the game. That's a silly thing to say. But it's also not as difficult as people make it when they just plain don't listen. It's not a fight where you can expect to steamroll everything and ignore the mechanics.

I've taught it to plenty of new people in trial roulette and cleared it without issues. People just need to be willing to listen to instructions and handle mechanics.

It was pretty difficult for me the first time I did it. It took me like 3 different parties and numerous tries because we would fail the DPS check on the meteor section. Since after clearing it for the first time, I haven't had much difficulty with it any more.

While I don't think its the easiest (ever MT Titan HM?). You do need to know a few things and they were all talked about here. I think the bigger issue is getting everyone in there on the same page PUG groups especially full party rarely speak. When I did this the first time I said I was new and a couple other people did too, once the usual buffs were up at the start the MT took off and pulled, no chance to get a plan down or for anyone to even say what to expect. Communication is always key, but in a PUG group may as well talk to a wall.
