    You can customize the barding with any bird barding you have on hand at any time. To dye your chocobo another color, you need to stable it and feed it specific foods. Getting specific hues is difficult and time consuming, but getting a general color should only take a few feedings. I have an apple green chocobo, and I think I achieved it with Doman plums, if I remember right.
