how leveling up blacksmith and alchemist guilds?

i want to start leveling up the blacksmith and alchemist guilds. i know i have to make and forge stuff. it says i need materials to do it though. is there somewhere where i can find out where the material to craft and forge is or do i just buy it?

You can craft anywhere you want. To get to level 15 in any craft you can usually buy the materials right there at the guild vendor, vendors in an fc house will take you a Lil bit further.

Your crafting log is in you actions tab then main commands. Assign it to a hotbar so its easier to get to. The fastest way to level crafts is levequests.

As a general rule of thumb, any kind of rock (ore, gems, sands, etc) is obtained via mining, anything plant-based (plus small animals like slugs and frogs) is obtained via botany, any fish are acquired via fishing, and any animal parts are obtained via killing monsters. That's how you get BASE ingredients.

There are also intermediary ingredients made by crafts. This are things like ingots, rivets, plates, polished gemstones, leather, and so on. Most of them are fairly obvious, minus stuff from alchemy. This is one of the main advantages to leveling up ALL your crafts (the other is the ability to cross-class skills to make high-quality items much easier). Between these two things you should be able to obtain all the ingredients you need.
