Does anyone know a fix of how to take make the "print screen" key on the keyboard to work when the game is on? Every time the game is on it won't let me use it to take screenshots of my desktop or other applications... how do I fix this?

Read the last post, second last point about DX11
Also, if you add your game to your steam library you can use F12 to take Screen shots with Steam rather than windows.
I still wanna use print screen for desktop work... any work around this please?
Instead of print screen, try using another feature built into windows. Here's a little how-to for the snipping tool: http://www.7tutorials.com/how-use-snipping-tool

Well the post says:
So it might work if you don't use the DX11 client?*Due to this fix, if using a Print Screen function through other software, there is a chance that the software may not function correctly while the FINAL FANTASY XIV client is open with DirectX 11. Using the in-game Screenshot function will still work.
Have you tried ALT+Print Screen when you're on the application you actually want to take a screenshot of? That function should only capture the current active window, and ignore the in game window.
Nevermind, I found another solution. Win key+ print screen will let me save a screenshot too.
