How do i use Prnt Screen when the game is on? Won't let me save screenshots alt-tab

Does anyone know a fix of how to take make the "print screen" key on the keyboard to work when the game is on? Every time the game is on it won't let me use it to take screenshots of my desktop or other applications... how do I fix this?
