So about Dreadwyrm Trance...

This isn't a complaint thread. I'm well aware that SMNs have received the most love with this expansion (though arguably they needed it).

There is one thing bugging me about Dreadwyrm Trance though and that is the fact it lacks any persistent visual effect whilst it's active. I don't really feel like I'm channeling Bahamut's power whilst spamming Ruin III.

Is there any chance we could get some kind of visual effect on our character for the 15s duration? Maybe some aetherial wings or claws or glowing eyes or something? From a lore perspective this would actually make sense given how Shiva and certain other primals summoned. It would certainly make the skill feel more like a summon.

Yeah I know. I just find the buff effect itself visually underwhelming. DRGs, MNKs, DRKs, WARs... they all have similar buffs with persistent visual effects. I'm just asking if we might be able to get something similar.

To be fair, the effect for DRK's Dark Side buff is hideous, but I agree it would be pretty cool if SMN got to have a persistent effect. I personally like the ethereal wings idea.

Heh, maybe not quite as large as those ones but yeah something along those lines is what I was thinking. Just something to indicate that we're channeling Bahamut's aether for the whole 15s and not just the first second we summon him. It just feels odd to me that we're holding all this aether from one of the most powerful primals out there and yet our character looks exactly like normal; no glow or other visual changes or anything.

It's because for a summoner, its another day in the aether...

but seriously, I think it would help. I think having to constantly glance at my buff bar every few seconds to see how much time I have left is kind of retarded... I think if the Wings were a persistant effect, and slowly folded in as time ran out (like a time bar)

Either way I feel like a God in my new smn. I expect us to get nerfed sometime soon, it is however, probably the hardest dps to play to absolute effect.

Hovering would be fantastic but would likely require a fair bit more work due to the animations required I imagine. Glowing eyes coupled with a small particle effect off of our bodies would also be great though in my opinion and relatively simple to implement.

In the dragonborn dlc for skyrim there was an end game shout that, cosmetically, would cover you in ethereal dragon armor. We need something like that.
