Thank you. I didn't think it'd need to be spelled out so explicitly, but here we are.I think the point he was making is that you you don't need to interact with the community to do the hunt solo and if you choose to do it that way you will have enough seals to buy the needed items within a few weeks. So the solution to the toxic community issue is already in the game, do it without the community, go solo.
What he is asking is something different, yes we have the daily and the weekly. There is nothing wrong with adding another stack of bills that give you the same amount of rewards for killing A rank, but making you kill "the last boss" of 5 random dungeons from 2.1-2.55, and later another stack to kill 3 boss from dungeons 3.0. This method takes "longer" and less mindless kill everything but it gives people another option to do A rank hunt without having to deal with toxic community. At the same time, SE is making sure older content is not dead.
This way I can kill up to 8 A rank mobs that gives me plenty of seals for around 25-30 minutes each run which translate to FOUR hours of game time. Similar to how Destiny give you daily tasks to do.
Are you not paying attention to what they are saying? They are saying do your daily hunts. You can pick up 3 stacks of them and no toxicity because they are solo hunts. You can kill the things all by yourself. And lucky you. They might sometimes be frogs.
What I dont understand is 3 content patches worth of hunts and people are thingking this is new?? lol
I just wish Hunts were force popped, and actually involved hunting...
Make A and S Ranks force popped, with potentially two pop items. The first of these pop items (and out right required one) can be purchased for Allied/Centurio Seals. Upon obtaining that pop item, you embark on a quest to hunt down the target. First objective; Take the pop item to the respective zones Hunt NPC (are they missing in Heavensward areas, btw?). You're then informed of the targets most recent movements, this would be somewhat randomized, similar to Treasure Maps. You go to this location and find two things; The corpse of your Hunts prey (or something similar), and tracks leading to another location. This tells you two things; The location of the Hunt and where you need to go to force pop it, and the clue towards what the second item is. Similar to how various quests work, you then go kill various enemies to obtain key items to lure out the Hunt. The second, non-Seals purchased, item doesn't have to be required either, it could simply be a "This will make your life easier" kind of deal which various other quests also do. Key point is that it adds a sense of actual hunting, and preparing to take down the target, rather than "X Hunt mob is up!" followed by an server-wide zerg and subsequent bitching as someone turned up late and feels far too entitled to that kill.
I'd much prefer a system like that. You start out doing Mark Bills to earn your first Seals, then you start doing serious Hunts for Seals. If you're good, you keep bringing in more Seals, if you're bad... You attempt a Hunt, die and lose those Seals you put into the pop item. That right there is probably why we'll never see something like that in XIV though, it wouldn't be XIV if both your hands weren't being tightly held... Much better to have people feel entitled to each kill when they join a party and contribute practically nothing to the moment long zerg that is Hunts... At the height of their popularity, Hunts are a pretty damned good example of faceroll content, I'm not sure how anyone can really enjoy them. There is just nothing to them when practically your entire server jumps on them... I suppose if people really like the current system, there is not reason they can't give us both... I'd say Mark Bills are nice, but they're not. They're awful. Pathetically weak trash mobs with absolutely no challenge and pathetically weak rewards to boot. I'd like something challenging and worthy of the name "Hunts", please. Something I can get some friends together to do and consider mid-core content (which this game is completely lacking IMO). When old Hunts lost their popularity I almost got that out of them, really hated when SE added tomestone gear upgrade items back in... Hunts were almost enjoyable when nobody cared about them and you could low man them without the entire server calling for a witch hunt...

I agree with the TE and with various other Players here. The Hunt is a simple Zergfest.
The Idea of Sending us back in old Dungeons is really good i don't understand why People shun it. Like the Zergfest...you don't need to do it. But you can do it.
But i gave up the Idea that there will be any Change...
Want a less toxic experience?
I'll show you how.
or
oh me gosh!
No, but seriously. You're not forced to do hunts. You have the other method of doing dailies.
Let's call a spade a spade; the OP doesn't like that Rank A/S Hunts are the fastest way to get 180 gear. There's already an alternative that involves no Rank A/S Hunts, that can be done solo, and that reward enough Centurion Seals to get full 180 gear in three weeks. That alternative isn't fast enough for them, so they want something comparable to Rank A/S Hunts.
No one is shunning the idea of going back to do dungeons, but there's already an alternative to Rank A/S Hunts; there's no need to complain that there isn't a way to gain Centurion Seals outside Rank A/S Hunts.
