I'm not gonna bother reading whole thread, but remember that they did this with soldiery gear? First it was with hunts and then later on they added easier way to get it.
Don't wanna do hunts? Then don't do them.

The thing is, WHY do they feel that EVERY gear set now has to have an upgrade component THROUGH HUNTS?
This isnt even raid gear yet, this is "I just hit the new level cap" gear.
With raid gear, the actual content gave you the upgrade item, while Hunts were later added as an "easier" way to obtain it via "easier" content.
What we have here is completely backasswards. Go do the mindless zergfest known as Hunts in order to upgrade gear from dungeons because it is the only way?
We are currently doing easier, more mindless content in order to improve the gear we get from what is effectively harder content, WITHOUT THE OPTION OF PERFORMING THIS IMPROVEMENT IN SAID HARDER CONTENT!
If that isnt backwards, I do not know what is.

I love the people who are here posting that aren't even level 60 yet. What do you know of hunts outside of the old ones? The new ones are overpopulated and causing shout to be filled with useless nonsense. And when you guys white knight for a game all you do is blame the community. It isn't anyone in the communities fault. If a hunt is designed for a light party or full party and people aren't doing it as it was designed....THAT means....and this may be a shock, it was designed poorly. Game designers/devs need to held accountable for that. No matter how easy it is to pretend they are flawless.
Hunts are terribly designed, I can't believe people are pretending they are good design. Things like this need the community to get together and get it changed, not fight about how it is amazing but we do it wrong.
I think a lot of you are missing the point.
People want to HUNT! Why is that so hard to understand? It wouldn't kill SE to scale hunts HP like they do fates.
Like 80% of the players posting, "You don't have to do hunts, there are other ways" It is so funny. But by the time they actually get to 60 and want to start hunts, those of us doing hunts now will be moved on to Alexander, so they won't have those issues nearly as bad.
Exactly this, when you put a gameplay feature into your game and it causes problems, you have basically two options - fix it or trash it.
They have left it the same and just copy pasted into HW.
Probably gonna get a weapon upgrade and chest/pants upgrade and then just get the raid gear from alexander. I don't really care for hunts and they aren't really necessary.
Make hunts like they are in Witcher III where you actualy have to HUNT something.
Form a party, gather information and follow the trail until you spawn the mob you are after.
Probably dreaming, but it would be an awesome feature if implemented that way.
My suggestion to this problem: add one upgrade item to the loot table of the last boss. 1 out of 4 players will get an upgrade item per dungeon. For trials, make it 2 out of 8.
Easy fix. Make hunts only give credit for the pulling party or alliance. That way only the intended amount of people fight the mob and no one can cry how it was "prepulled". Yeah, less people will get it done, but then we also won't get people saying that hunts are mindless and easy or that the community is toxic. They could also add world bosses that drop goodies and scale up, but if hunts are meant for small parties I don't see why that kind of gameplay should be outright removed. Adding endgame options is a way better solution than taking them away.
