If I remember correctly, half-breeds were pretty high in the polls the last time Yoshi-P held one.

.:Edit:. Found it. Cross-breeds is second in the poll. And then greater variation in races which I would personally find most welcome.

I remember taking this poll when it came out and also voting for the half-breed option, i find it odd that it got nearly double the votes as the reptilian demi-beastman / demonic race choice and yet they decided to release Au Ra instead as the first new race.

That isn't to say that there's anything wrong with Au Ra, it just seems that more people would have preferred the other option judging by those results.

Added note: Before anyone goes on to point out that by the poll results we should have gotten Viera as a race, Yoshida already commented that adding veira wasn't the intention at the time but rather was used as an example and that he felt mentioning the name had skewed the results in their favor unintentionally.

seems to be a mix between midlander and elezen but I love the look alot better than what we have now. (no long neck)

She looks nothing like an Elezen except for the ears... In which if the story didn't tell us, she could have easily been half lalafell for that matter.

Funny that you say that the elezen should look more like midlanders...when the aura face type (type 2 iirc) you picked are basically midlanders with scales and horns...

On the subject of mixed race player options, I could see it happen and wouldn't mind it, but it'd be hard and awkward to implement. Like.. How would you have a Miqo'te/Au Ra and what would it even look like? How is that even possible lore wise? Et cetera

Face 2 is the most midlander like. Face 1 has the miqote jaw structure. Face 4 has the most blank and robotic look (like phantasy star online female casts that pick human faces). Face 3 has yugiri's face (although she has face 1's horns), that I think has a little bit of roe like features.

Um.... if your Au Ra didn't have horns she would look almost exactly like a Midlander. I mean, face 2 is super human looking as well, I just think it's funny you're trying to say your own is different. Face 4 is the only one that looks slightly inhuman.

Oh no I'm not implying my face 3 is not midlander looking. In fact if you compare my character's old face and new face it's very similar. I'm just saying that face 2 is the most blatant one.
