    healing dps

Hello, I am a tank. And yesterday, I was in a fractal run thru df and this whitemage was doing over 350dps on boss fights. is that normal for healers or is this just a really good player?

Good player (considering you didn't mention dying), but also with how our iLvLs, stas and whatnot has raised, everyone's DPS has raised as well.

Well, that's some solid DPS input there and I will give that healer a thumbs-up, but it's not as high as you can go right now. Of course, you always have to take the healing requirements into account (and some of this depends on how good your tank is - sometimes I am only doing like 1/2 or 1/3 of what I could do if I have some paper man of a tank or if people fuck up). Also, gear levels are really spread out right now with some people rocking starter level cap gear and some being in the i180 range already. At this point we should give it some more time and see how the numbers end up being. Sort of a dull answer from me, but yeah.

You should keep in mind also that some of the DPS classes are approaching 1000 DPS in endgame gear - 350 might just be the new 150, if you catch my drift.
Still, it takes a good healer to DPS without anyone dying or coming close.

It's difficult to say at this juncture if this is "normal" DPS or "above average" DPS as the baseline DPS has shifted dramatically with the expansion.

With that being said, a couple of Ravana EX parses came out recently on Reddit showing WHMs in the 200-250 range and SCHs in the 400-500 range. Mind you these are probably high end raid groups too, so a 350 parse from a WHM on bosses in 4-man "casual" content feels good to me based on those numbers.

It really depends on the party. If the tank is fully geared, I pull 500+ on bosses, and more on trash (depends on the amount of packs) because there is no healing required. If the tank and dps are undergeared, the numbers may plummet as the battle lengthens and the defensive CDs become unavailable.

350 isn't at all surprising with new gear, character levels, and abilities. That's probably close to the floor of WHM DPS in AoE situations where spam healing isn't required.

I've been averaging 400-450 DPS in Neverreap and Fractal at iLvl 176, more on AoE pulls, obviously; assuming I have a good enough tank, where I can let Selene do most of the healing. Also been using Energy Drain as a DPS ability in times like that; never thought to do it before, but since Lustrate can't be used while in CS anymore, may as well use Energy Drain to make up for the DPS down-time I have from stance dancing! xD
