I've been playing on DX9 for the past 2 days because DX11 has been causing me crashes. Now, suddenly, DX9 is causing me crashes. I just don't understand it lol .. how can it be fine and totally cool for 2 days then crash? I've, also, got the EVGA 970 SC. It seems these cards in particular are having serious problems with the FFXIV client.
So i switched back to my old evga 560 ti and its been playing flawlessly on DX 11.... My other card was a EVGA classified 770..
*EDIT* I spoke too soon but instead of a BSOD it just crashed lol...

This seems to be an issue with 900 series cards. I also have a 970... and Direct X 9 or 11 do not make a difference. I crash either way even after a full reinstall of the game.
The best Final Fantasy was the one everyone played at age 12!
No mines a 770
I've Been crashing since headstart on both dx9 and 11. 980 Ti with fresh install win7, nvidia drivers and game. Played on both borderless and fullscreen no difference.
Can confirm. The crashes only happen in dungeons for me.
I run a evga 980 AC 2.0
It realy can't be an preformance issue, because then i should have crashed grinding fates in massive zergs on headstart![]()
On DX9 I seem to crash whenever I teleport or change zones. With DX11, it is completely and utterly random. It can be in a dungeon, doing quests, grinding fates, or even standing around.
Nvidia released a hotfix driver. I don't know if it will help, cause my technical understanding of this is very low ._. But i will try it none the less.
Here is the link:https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...driver-353-38/
