I hope this is of some help, I noticed one thing many of you have in common. Win8, DX11 and GTX900 series.

I'm using Win7, DX11 and GTX Titans in surround, nvidia driver version 347.52. Game works fine with detail (HBAO off, tessellation normal, shadows down) toned down in surround and in 1440P res, I can run it in max details, Here is a few thing I noticed.

It doesn't like Afterburner, I'm guessing it doesn't like EVGA Precision and the like either. Turn off !!

I tried using latest driver 353.30, ran horribly and crashed BSOD twice in 30 minutes. Use a older driver.

Turn off all overlay features if you are using display fusion, most games does not like overlay apart from Steam's.

DX9 runs fine in both window and fullscreen mode, DX11 however likes to run in fullscreen and actually performs better.

OK the update this morning still didnt solve the crashes. but at least its not a black screen to me , the app just crash now. Im really frustrated and annoyed with this... because it only happens with this game and nothing else!!

Edit: and btw the benchmark works fine and never crashes >.> , 11500 score too.

    Try turning off:
MSI Afterburner (or Anything that is based off of Rivatuner)
    Raptr
    GeForce Experience

Basically all these programs hook into the graphics system to display overlays or capture video.

Failing that upgrade the C++ runtime:

Specifically you need both the x86 and the x64

Actually i would say to upgrade/repair all the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages u have on your pc, you can check wich ones you have in Control Panel > Programs And features (win 8,1) , check them in the list there and go to microsoft download site.

After installing an intel driver update that had a vc redist on it , i was getting crash at launch, i repaired my redists and my problems were gone.

Really happy to hear your issue have been resolved mate! I know you and I have had an awful week with all these crashes!

I specifically mentioned the 2010 CRT, because that was what I specificly uninstalled, installed an older version (to install the DX10 SDK) and FFXIV would crash at launch, and then installed the 2010 again and it worked.

Now... I want to mention one other detail that is also consistant with your story. I also updated the Intel graphics driver (the onboard driver i7-4770 non-K) which means it ~could~ be the enumeration of the GPU's that's the actual crash trigger. But again, I did this to try and resolve OBS's Quicksync issues, so it's a bit of a catch-22. Either updating the GPU "fixed the problem" but caused another with the CRT, or updating the CRT fixed a problem caused by updating the GPU driver.

Thats true, i mentioned to repair/reinstall all of them that you have on ur machine just to be sure, it doesnt hurt :O

I still crash with tesselation on max tho, so i think the real villain is how they implemented it. Im running everything on max except tesselation, wich is on normal, windowed borderless and with overlays. No crashs at all for 2-3 days already.

Im running an EVGA 980ti SC+ with ACX 2.0+ backplate edition, and thank god i dont have troubles anymore, didnt want to change this card i love it, 60 fps on a S rank with all the server on your screen is pretty nice :O

    353.38 drivers btw
