    Mechanically, hunts were introduced so that non-raiding players could eventually reach the same ilevel as those running coil. I ran coil. I had full High Allagan and unweathered soldiery sets from earning them in coil, when it was current. I have no problem with casual players attaining upgrades outside of raids. But, gating those upgrades behind one open-world activity, which is being trivialized by linkshells, guildwork, and ffxivhunt.com is just stupid, in my opinion. If they're going to make seals THAT easy to obtain, they might as well let fates, dungeons, and other shit drop them so that players reach the same goal without engaging in all of the toxicity that hunting generates.

    Either come up with design solutions to make hunts actual hunts. Or, drop the bullshit and let us get seals from something else too.

    I think hunts could be so cool if a party of 8 was able to go out searching for monsters and actually fighting them alone. Make them truly challenging. That'd add a whole new dimension to the game.
