Grame Freezes Randomly

Randomly, some times 5 min, somtimes 5 hrs , game will freeze , the sound will loop, screen goes black. Must restart my comp.


I have updated my drivers, moniter my gpu temp, disabled everything i can, im at my wits end with this. Really could use some help. Thanks in advance......

Turn off some graphical settings like anti-aliasing...open some more ports, get Windows 7. Ew Home Edition of Vista YUCK!

I play on a 2+ year old laptop with the graphics set all on high...I don't know why peeps cry with so many problems. I've not experienced much if any. I crash once in a blue moon pretty much happens in all online games.

Also, if you playing in full screen maybe you got something in the background interfering with the game...try playing in Windowed mode see if things improve for you...or turn of some stuff.

I play with like 128 or more processes at any given time, streaming video, chatting in multiple platforms, browsing the web, coding etc and haven't encountered such problems you facing.

Also, I know this as it happened to me once...after my game crash there was a rare occurrence where my game files got corrupted. I noticed a lot of anomalies in the game...thus I uninstalled and re-installed and my problems were fixed.

I have the grphaical settings turned down, no bells no whistles, i cant get windows 7 i dont have the money, and i am running bare bones on this machine 42 processes running, most are windows programs. I also play in windowed mode. I monitored my cpu health from windows mode. The comp is running fine. Thanks for the quick reply.......

Could be the laptop can't run the game what setting you playing at?

which setting do you refer, graphic configuration everything is on the lowest tring to get it to stop freezing, no luck, all bells and whistles e.t.c. shadows, name dispalys, ...all turned off

Do you have DOF off? i mean it's a laptop make sure it not overheating at the end it could be that your laptop just can't run the game good enough.

Best thing to do is save up and build a desktop and get a 450gs you can build a cheap pc for under 300 and get a 450gs and play the game on awesome setting or 460gs and play even more.

Or wait for PS3
Also window vista you can always download the window 8 free version or get a hacked window 7

yes dof is off, everything is off, and the laptop can run it. I monitor it regualry , normal cpu temp is 70-72c while running the game and cpu load is typically 70-80 percent. Thats with the grapics at standard, atm i have them all turned to lowest for the purpose of figureing out this crash.

Windows vista just sucks it get to much ram and the game have issue where at some point it load too much on the ram and d/c don't know if that issue still on but it seem to happen to people sometimes.
