It's kind of nice having a smaller window for it, as there's really no need to have the character portrait alongside a currency listing. (Actually, if it's to be combined with anything, the inventory window would have made more sense than the character window.)
Having it all show in a single pane would have been nicer, but we had to deal with tabs before when it was in the character window, so it isn't any more cumbersome than it was before in that regard. Instead of [Character] then tab over to Currency, now it's [Currency] then tab over to the type of currency you're interested in at the moment.
Perhaps if SE added some optional keybinds or macro commands it could help with this. Have one that opens the window to its last used tab (as it has now), but then also have separate keybinds/commands that will open it to specific tabs within that window. So you could map a key to mean "open the Currency window to the battle tab" or "open the Inventory window to the shards/crystals/clusters tab" or "open the Character window to the Reputation tab", and so on. These keybinds wouldn't have any keys assigned to them by default because it would be too cumbersome to assign all of them, but if they were available so each player could assign one or two of the ones whose defaults annoy them, I think it could add some QoL improvement.
