Is it worth it to do the EX primals now?

I have the Ramuh Ex quest sitting in my log waiting to be completed, DF is terrible and I pretty much quit trying awhile ago. Moving forward with Heavenward now, is it even worth it to try and finish (and then do Shiva) since people only farm for ponies/glamour which I don't really care about now w the flying mounts in new areas anyways.
On the same note is finishing and catching up on coil pointless now too? I had quit the game for awhile after 2.2 and starting really playing again after 2.55 at which point everyone was moving to final coil. I haven't done T9 or even looked past that content wise.. Or is clearing final coil going to be required to access the new endgame, Alexander? If so I have a loooot of crap to work on >.<

You pretty much answered your own question.
It's only for glamour/pony farm.

You could however enter as a 7man unsynched party which should make it vastly easier assuming at least some people know the fight.

Yeah, I can only imagine a 7-man unsynced group of 60s will CRUSH Ramuh/T9.

OK cool, I'm just gonna drop the quest for now and if I ever want can always go back and pick it up again. And as far as the new endgame stuff, do you guys know if beating old coils will be required to access (similar to the gate into ishgard via MSQ) or will you have access as long as your 60 and have beaten the 3.0 story line?

Coil is not required for Alexander, so you are good to go.

lvl60 i150 7-mans for Primal Ex fights, GO! Actually I wanna see how easy this is when I get friends at 60 also... hopefully we can actually stomp the primals now, lol...
