Can someone explain Diurnal Sect to me?

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this stance... I JUST unlocked the job so I have plenty of learning to do but the description of the stance says that my attack speed is increased and a regen effect is added to some actions...

First, how does the attack speed boost help me?

Second, why don't I see any kind of regen buff apply after healing with all 4 of my current healing spells? I don't see a regen buff, nor do I see gradual healing actually applying to my character.

Attack speed is your casting speed, whether it be healing or damage spells. You'll see Aspected Benefic and Aspected Helios with regen effects tacked on once you learn them, which, inversely, will have shielding effects on them when you cast them in Nocturnal Sect at level 50.

Bizarrely, you won't learn your first Sect-influenced action until level 34, even though you unlock Diurnal Sect at level 30. The second action influenced by Sect is learned at 42, and the last is learned at 58.
