    Agree 100% with that Gauss Barrel/Gauss Round/Satellite Beam need those animation improvements.

    Satellite Beam is so underwhelming... the laser is incredibly pewny & short-lived.

    The lack of cool effects (and poor gameplay design in a few key areas) makes me feel that MCH was rushed... which' really depressingly sad considering we waited like 4 years.

    Please, SE. A few more boosts to MCH's play & visuals. Please!

    I really wish Gauss Barrel and Wanderer's Minuet changed the character's stance. It makes the character have a cast time, so make them look like they're focusing more [make the Machinist aim down his sights or something and the Bard just aim directly at the enemy as they cast].

    Also for Bard and Machinist, make them move a bit more whenever they do....well anything. Since only their upper bodies move, it looks unrealistic and bad when you realize their legs are perfectly still yet their upper bodies and arms are flailing around.

    I think you misunderstood the post you quoted. He meant that Dreadwyrm Trance has no animation to even indicate it is active. It just has a casting animation and then 15s of an invisible buff. Given that all other jobs with such buffs have a persistent animation to indicate that the buff is active we would like for SMN to have the same as currently Dreadwyrm Trance is incredibly unimpressive and it would actually be useful for other jobs to be able to recognise when we have it active. Since the trance is a cue for us being about to use Deathflare it would be useful for other jobs with party buffs to be able to see the trance and use their buffs in preparation for it.

    It would also be useful in PvP for players to recognise when a SMN is about to unleash the biggest burst combo in the game.

    Yes, MCH needs a lot more attention but let's not start dismissing everyone just because you feel you're more important.

    I'd like to point out that while the black flame effect is awesome, the Red Aura from Darkside is actually clearly visible in the video.
    If thats the 'Relic' weapon and armor set, it may be that the black flame is a part of the gear (A set bonus, if you will) rather than any form of "original" Darkside effect.

    Without a solid stance, a MCH would fall flat on his arse with every shot. Hell, Slug Shots visual recoil makes me feel like i should have two hands on the damn thing at all times.

    I don't think it's a solid stance, more of a lack of animation on the normal MCH combat stance.

    For another class, what about SMN's Dreadwyrm Trance? Why not give us Bahamut's wings like Teraflare does or have a spectral version of him behind us like Nero's Devil Trigger in DMC4?
