Artifact Armors!

Those "blades" sticking out of his back might just be the skeletal frame of dragon wings...Or be a symbol of the Dragon's wings. Also in the OFFFICIAL CONCEPT ART, there is a little purple in the armor (near the bottom of it), what more do you people need to make it a DRG? Its just like Kain's original armor, blackish with hints of purple, and dark looking.

Haha, I know Dragoons are typically pretty dark but... I'm just upset because looking at that armor, it looks like they took ZERO inspiration from Dragoons and went 100% Dark Knight with it... They could've at least changed the helmet a bit, or made it a really dark purple color instead of just black...

My guess is the only real relation to the Dragoon, the FFXIV job is going to have is a Jump ability. :/ Then mostly Dark Knight-esque stuff.

the gear is based on Kain HIghwind.... "Kain Highwind, the commander of the Dragoons." its some of the sickest DRG armor the FF series had and its just being revamped into HD for this game haha.

I guess squall was a deathknight in disguise and wore his artifact armor under his unique and highly-identifiable coat.

What about WHM, BLM, RDM? they also have very similar Gears in every FFs, even XI. So having Kain Dragoon Gear is unacceptable? lol

I'm going to assume its going to be a litte more along the lines of multiple classes. Probably one of which is THM.
I actually could see it being THM+LNC, as people seem to prefer a scythe. So I wouldnt doubt we'd see a polearm adapted to fit that way of thinking, such as the hotly debated bow-harp.

EDIT:
THM+LNC+MRD seems like a legit way to build it. MRD and LNC gives your weapons and THM gives your magicks.

Lulu wasn't wearing BLM armor, it sure looked unique and HIGHLY-IDENTIFABLE.

My Lulu was a White mage, and Khimari was my Black Mage... (there were no jobs in that game is my point)
