    Auto-run doesn't stop when talking to NPC

    I'm on a PC with auto-run keybinded to the mouse wheel. I swear that before when I used auto-run and talked to an NPC e.g. a merchant my character would stop right there or when using some skills in fights it would also stop. Now it just continues on like a steam train and I have no idea why.

    Maybe I'm just dumb and checked the wrong settings box somewhere. Any help?

    The development team has confirmed that this is a bug.

    We're currently making adjustments so that auto-run will stop once you execute an action, similar to how it worked before the start of Heavensward early access.

    We'll address this once the examination process is complete, so please hang in there a bit longer!

    Will this fix apply to spells too? Because before we could be on auto-run and once in range start casting and it would stop the character, now it keeps on running canceling the cast.

    Yes. Spells are an action.

    Aww, what a shame I thought this was a new change, I was just getting used to pulling whilst on auto run (can we get a toggle for this, I for one prefer to continue running after doing actions). Only thing I didn't like was when I attacked something when I ran past and it did a 180 and ran the other way!

    Well, considering how some people liked the new behavior, when you guys fix this maybe you guys could add an option to keep this bugged behavior so everyone becomes happy.

    I know this isn't a bug but could you please make it so that talking to an NPC with a selection window stops auto-run too?
    It always bothered me that with any normal NPC who just says something something, I immidiately stop, but when I talk to a ferryman or merchant or anyone like that, my character just keeps running, exiting the selection window before I have time to select one of the options (which makes the character finally stop).

    Can they also make it to stop auto run when using and action on yourself (like cure or stoneskin)? Because it would not stop even before Heavensward
