lol at 100s of people afk using jump bots. I mean really.

IMO I would like SE to do it the easiest way possible, and I think adding thousands of jump points to the game will not be it.

Both types would take equal amount of work. The engine itself already can set up "jump points" but with "free jumping" they'd have to redo a lot of geometry as well as create a whole set of other restrictions.

I understand that FFXIV wants AND NEEDS to pool players from WoW, but if the only way they can do that is by making this game WoW, then they have already lost. Those same PvP'ers are never happy with WoW PvP unless the parameters favor them. If any of you have ever played WoW, just check chat after any major patch and watch the whining "X" class is way OP!!!. They need to nerf "Y" class because I can't beat them using the same old straegy I have always used .

People don't learn to play WoW, WoW spoon feeds them.

WoW like it or not happens to be the most successful MMO in history so obviously they have done something right. I would much prefer FF take the good aspects from WoW and mold it into something better. I happen to play both games and I can tell you that neither of them are anything alike so stop with the nerd rage.

100% agree with OP. Jump is retarded unless its an auto thing or a LNC (Dragoon) ability (which is my preferred method).

I thought they already announced that there will be free jump and its purpose beyond free jumping to irritate people is to interrupt a cast.

There should be no reason to tell the dev team what is right and what is wrong. It's their game, and if not for an early release they have much more experience in making successful games than me, you or most everyone else in these forums.

So, suck it up, and get over it. The only thing ruining the game for you, is your own limiting, unimaginative, overly sensitive view of the game. Let them finish the cake before you complain it taste bad, cause its not done yet!
