Not finding DRK squishy at all.

Recently I've been seeing threads about DRK beining squishy I for however do not find this to be so, as I've asked my Healer friends and my wife who's so far has been healing me through out the new dungeons and she says she's not finding it hard to heal me.

I think this just all stems down to a user issue for people playing DRK's. I mean it is a new class and we don't have the lux or starting with it from LV1 so I think it's taking some time for people to learn how to use DRK right but we'll see how it performs in raiding.

They aren't nearly as squishy as many of the WARs and min/maxers would have you believe. DRKs are below PLD and WAR in some areas, and above one or the other in others. They're basically right in the middle. But from a development standpoint it's much better to start a class off lower than higher, because then if you buff them, people are happy. People always respond negatively to nerfs.

However, they're still very viable tanks.

It's not the stance really that's a problem, it's that Paladins just overall mitigate more due to their shield, and they have a wider range of effective cd's they can use. Ones that are simply just more effective than Drks. Not only this, but they can Parry as well, they have 2 passive mitigations going at once, all the time. One of which can block up to 40% or more of the incoming damage when it procs.

Drk's are literally Paladins without a shield, with less utility and mitigation. The Mitigation and the utility they have now is what makes a Paladin a Paladin though.

Take all of that away and you have a really squishy knight swinging around a single sword. You'll notice it far more at 60, in places like the new EX's.

Everything can be done by them just like a Warrior or a Paladin, just at a higher cost, and more chances of being rejected because at the moment, the new kit Warriors and Paladins got make them insane in their roles. Hell people are taking Warrior MT's nowadays over Pld's, and are having the Pld as OT.

    Ya I guess not.

Paladins that have nothing that makes a Paladin a Paladin.

Sums up Dark Knight I think.

im happy to have player like you in the DRK community sir, I am a lv57 DRK who's lvling through mostly dungeon runs with my healer friend ( and healer pug too ) and tbh we dun find it squishy at all, no problem keeping aggro and regenerating MP as well as healing too.

Maybe, just maybe you should give your opinion about DRK after you reach 60, been to lvl60 dungeons as well as the limitless blue extreme.
