I was going to suggest leveling marauder/warrior to earn the i90 from its job quests and farm tomes with it to buy gear for your pld (most of which is used across all tanks) since you would have access to gladiator and marauder actions to cross-class on DRK. It would kill a few chocobos with one stone and help you further along with Dark Knight once you obtain it.

Also, you can rewatch any and all cutscenes you skip in any inn room via The Unending Journey giving you the chance to go back and enjoy the story without other players telling you how to play the game. Hope this helps
