I understand that there was a need for there to be some reduction to exp gained from 2.x leves for level 50 players (mainly crafting leves), but the nerf that was implemented in the recent hotfix is by far too extreme.
Lv45 courier leve during early access: ~210k exp for HQ item
Lv45 courier leve after early access: 6k exp for HQ item
The materials needed for some of the Ishgard leves are quite slow to obtain (especially for 50-54 ltw which needs an item, Coerthan Tea Leaves, that is only obtainable from unspoiled nodes... and 3 skins per leather that have bad drop rates and rng to contend with)
Reducing the exp gained from the lv45 leve from 210k to 6k is too extreme. I would propose to the dev team to adjust this to say 30% of the 2.x leve's original value. This would mean that the lv45 leve would give only 63k for a HQ item submission, which would make the Ishgard leves that much more appealing (~105k for NQ, double for HQ for lv50-52, and then even more exp gained from the leves at 52, 54, 56 and 58).
So, while someone might be able to still gain some exp off the old leves.. they would use up a considerable amount of their leves to get through a level
50-51:
2.x leves needed - 14 (perhaps to bump you up part of a level into the new levels)
3.0 leves needed - 4-5
51-52:
2.x leves needed - 17 (not really feasible to do for a whole level by this stage)
3.0 leves needed - 5-6
52-53
2.x leves needed - 21 (certainly not worth it by this point)
3.0 leves needed - 4-6 (unable to confirm while servers are down)
53-54
2.x leves needed - 25
3.0 leves needed - 5-6 (unable to confirm while servers are down)
EDIT: The main thing I am upset with here is that SE claims that they never ninja nerf anything, but they clearly did here without any warning beforehand. In the 3.0 patch notes they could have easily put a line saying "Experience points gained from guildleves will be adjusted", but there was NOTHING
