    Main Quest issue

I'm a fairly casual player, with spurts of huge amounts of play time, with very little play time mixed in. I understand that there is this big grand story that is going on, and that's fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2.0 MSQ. But now that I finished it, I was surprised to find out that I have to do all MSQ that came with each major patch, to go to HW areas. That is 100+ quests. Then I notice these quests are only giving 4.8k xp per. If this keeps going, I won't even gain enough xp to level. Who wants to do 100 mandatory quests, without gaining any levels? So, here's an idea:

1.) Change the XP so that by the time these quests are done, we gain a level or 2.
2.) Give us an option to do a quest to bypass those quests.

I like 2, cause it would leave in the quests for those who enjoy the story, while at the same time allow players like me to get right to the new stuff. As it is, with the play time I have currently, it might be about a month before I can finish all of these quests.

The Astral Era quests honestly take very little time in comparison to the 2.0 story. Most of the people I know finished them either the day they came out or the day after-- they're only a couple of hours long each.

That may very well be, but you have to understand, that's still 100+ quests between 2.0 and 3.0. That's 10 sets of quests(2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc.). So, couple hours each of those, that's about 20-30 hours, give or take? Awesome. When I get 30-60 minutes of playtime. Like I said, it sucks, its daunting, and its a turn off to new players.

In addition to it being daunting, the quests also feel like a whole lot of nothing. There's tons of exposition and talking, but a lot of it has nothing to do with the main story. It could be heavily condensed with Tataru's random errands and you having to recruit random nobodies taken out. Even if you take these parts out it feels like the story is unaffected by it.

It is not 20-30 hours. It's 10 hours at the very most-- there are multiple people in my FC who finished 2.1 - 2.55 in under a week by putting in a couple of hours a night.

It sucks that you can only play 30-60 minutes a day, yes, but you have to realize that your progress in the game is going to be far slower than most other peoples' because of that. For the vast majority, 2.1 - 2.55 is not a major time investment at all. It's going to be exactly the same when you finally get to HW, as its MSQ is as long as the main 2.0 story.

For someone who can only play 60 minutes a day, the 2.1 to 2.55 quests can be impossible considering how long you have to wait in queues for dungeons and trials. If you are DPS, it might as well be impossible.

I'm not concerned about the MSQ in HW. I'm concerned with the time sink that I have to put in, as a new player, to go from the vanilla game, to the expansion. I did state, however, that I wouldn't be so salty about this if I in fact felt some sort of accomplishment from this. But the fact that it's 100+ quests, and I accomplish nothing but more quests, that's upsetting. If I got normal XP(which is what other MMO's do when they raise their level cap), I would have almost zero issue with this.

And yep, I play DPS, and have sat in queues. I sure know the feels of this.

Honestly, if that is all the time you have to play. This type of MMO might not be for you. It will take a good amount of time invested to get a good experience IMO.

Like I said, I have spurts where I can get a lot of playtime. Just depends on work.

Also, now I'm my MSQ requires me to do a Guildhest that I've never unlocked. I never did guildhests, cause they weren't required. Why must I do them now?! This whole thing is NOT how you are going to get new players to stay.

MMOs do require time, but the question is whether it is a game that requires you to invest all your time into it at once. How much can you accomplish in 30 minutes a day compared to 3 hours once a week? It matters if they both end up similar.
