My first visit to an Ephemeral node had me getting a Collectible that was too low for me to Reduce. It was 1/8, on that scale, though I do not recall the Collectability stat on it.

Just because you can get it as a Collectible does not mean that you can reduce it. And, from what I can tell, the ONLY reason to get a Collectible from an Ephemeral node is for the Aetherial Reduction, as they have no other use (at least, not that I'm aware of). If your sole concern is regaining GP through swings, skip the Ephemeral node and come back when you've got enough to get a good Collectability. Unless its near the end of the four hour ET window, that node is not going to go anywhere.

I can reduce as low as one appraisal, under 70 collectability. So I dunno what to tell you. I reduce 1/8 purity all day.

FWIW, answered my own question. It's easy enough to just get 300 collect and gather 1 if Methodical is 100+.

if you have 600 gp you can just discrening eye - methodical appraisal 3 x and ur done
