You get the feeling they're just salty because Monk still does less damage than Dragoon/Ninja and they've been made largely irrelevant because DRK now brings Dragon Kick?Low GCD means more Greased Lightning leeway. Maximizing BotD uptime and Gierkogul usage has a literal 1-2 second margin of error.
Constant positionals that aren't random procs or inhibited by animation locks that are absolutely required to be used to maintain maximum DPS.
Try again.

A lot of people in this thread keep propagating this idea that black Mage plays largely the same as it did in 2.xx and has largely the same rotation.
This is incorrect. Black mages now have to ma

Ugh, stupid smartphone posting before I'm done typing, and not having an edit post button on the mobile version of the site.
Anyways apologies for the double post but this it is incorrect to assume or state BLMs have a similar rotation as in 2.xx.
In short we now have to manage a buff with a counter similar to how a monk must keep up greased lightning on top of astral fire and umbral ice and then our highest potency attack is gated behind both of these buffs being up at the same time, both which run on different timers. The rotation has changed even when acting as a turret on a dummy but even having to move slightly it changes a great deal as even one second of lost time on one of our traits can result in losing access to cast our highest potency spell.
I haven't played enough of the other DPS roles to make a judgement on which is easiest but I don't think it's black Mage at the moment.

Bard is easiest IMO.
MNK is mabey not the hardest to play but they arent as easy. the optimal rotation need lot of practice and testing to be confortable with it. most fight have lot of downtime so you need to think about how you could manage (if possible) to keep your gl 3 up.you need to watch your 2 DOT(3 if using fracture) and keep them up without cliping it. you need to watch for the debuff to be applyed all the time and your twin snake buff. monk have many OGCD also and since we have the fastest attack speed, doing the full rotation and weaving those OGCD in between need to be done quickly. with the implantation of chakra and stance change, you also need to think when you can use them and wich one so even in downtime or between fight, you have something to do. dont forget about all the positioning skill (2 flank, 3 back) that need to be done to get good dmg while you need to dodge all the aoe and watch to not drop GL.
MNK have lot more thinking then most say.its might not be the hardest since the skill are very forgiving,if you dont do your position, you only lose some dps(still very important since we are a dps class....lol) and the only thing to really be carefull is, to not drop GL but overall, the class keep you busy a lot and need to be focused all the time to performe well.

DRG should be hard. It's a melee dps class and has one of the highest potential dps in the game. Before HW it was very easy as far as melee goes.
None of the melee dps are "easy" IMO and "hard/easy" is subjective at the end of the day. What you find hard I may not. What I find hard you might find easy. There is no factual answer it's 100% opinion.
Also no one cares who's class is the hardest. The OP is "which dps is the easiest"
DRG/MNK/NIN shouldn't even be relevant in the discussion as far a heavensward goes.
This is a rather hilarious bit of revisionism here. Dragoon did enjoy a few months of easy street, yes. That was predated a much longer period of crippling magic defense, severe punishing DPS loss for missed positionals, and everyone's favorite jump animations locks.
