The final boss theme is actually a remix of a very famous old FF track [SPOILERS]

I haven't seen anyone else mention this but the music it plays in the Singularity Reactor for the King Thordan fight is actually The Bombing Mission from FFVII. Seems rather appropriate I think.

I'm going to have to disagree on this one. The compositions are nothing alike.

yes, they simply use the same way to stress the player, it's a remix of Soken's main theme of heavensward.

Eh. No. They're not the same. There are some similarities, but they're definitely different compositions.

Masayoshi Soken has a really good memory for music. So good, in fact, that he remembers songs he's heard from other composers and has a tendency to unconsciously embed them in his own work. This is hardly the first track in ARR/HW to have noticeable similarities to unrelated tracks from other games. It happens all the time. Hell, Uematsu did it himself for much of the 1.0 soundtrack. At least he's not pulling a Motoi Sakuraba and using a melody he composed himself in two different games for two different companies within the same release year.

Not even close. If anything, it's similar to the boss music from FFIX, or at least the intro.
