People who dislike group content choosing to play an mmo... um.

There are many many solo final fantasies, maybe try them?

So how exactly would it harm you if there were solo options for people who are helping to fund all of your hand-holding togetherness content? I don't think it would hurt you one bit! There are many, many reasons why people who don't like instances or raids still enjoy this game.

It would take a lot of time and effort (that could be spent on other things) to redo and redesign all the content for solo play. And for what? 1% of players who aren't the target audience? If you can't cope with a few compulsory, easy dungeons, then no, I don't think it's the game for you. Play if you want, but expecting the devs to divert their time from new content to rehash old stuff for solo play is ridiculous. EVERYTHING would have to be retuned and changed.

I agree. Like I said in another thread, this game is obviously designed from the ground up for people who like both group play and solo play. If someone dislikes one of those two, they are not in the target audience. Asking a game company to suddenly change their game design to suit a different audience is ridiculous. People can always look around for other games if they feel this one doesn't offer them the experience they want. Or if they like it here then they should accept that the game isn't 100% custom made to their liking.

This game takes many steps forward, but it also takes a ton back when it comes to combat/force grouping and lack of PTR.
Of course I know they don't want it to be removed. Thinking so would be very black and white.
    1) Nobody is being forced to do anything here. We're all consenting adults/adolescents (I hope).
    2) There's nothing wrong with people liking "backwards"/oldschool gaming or with game companies designing games for that audience. What you are saying is that attunements are not smart game design and I'd like you to prove your claim. "Options" or "freedom of choice" both refer to a more sandbox style of game design, where a player can pick their battles and create their own adventure. Are you saying that all games should be designed that way, when this game's growing playerbase clearly shows that there is demand for gating-heavy games? That, in my opinion, makes no sense.

Those people completing all of that "hand-holding togetherness content" are funding 99% of the game. The 1% of people who want to solo that stuff do not fund enough of the game to create separate versions of the few dungeons the game asks you to complete with, god forbid, others in a MMO.
