Duty Finder Timer IS A LIE
Duty Finder Timer IS A LIE

Not only that, it shows different AWTs for different people even if you're in the same party... kinda useless to have it there tbh.

The average wait time for a tank is generally much shorter than that of a DPS class.
You're going to see differences in the average wait time reported due to this.

The keyword is average. It doesn't mean your wait will be less than 5 minutes.

Unfortunately they have yet to develop technology to see into the future for when people will actually queue up.

Basically what these people are saying. At that point, queue for something in progress, or just requeue after twenty minutes. Sometimes Duty finder kind of freezes. Happened to a few tanks on my server. Had a thirty minute queue time, requeued for same thing, no changes, and got insta-queued. Really weird.
"When life gives you lemons, throw them at the people you hate."
"Well, a lot of the people I know are going to be in pain. Not because I hate them, mind you, but because I can't aim."
I don't think it's a lie, I'm pretty sure it's a fact.
It's telling you the average wait time past people had to wait, not the time you have to wait.

...That's a long wait. I believe the AWT is based on the averages of tanks and healers. They get in so fast, that the total DPS average is not high enough to raise the AWT.
