The only thing trash is annoying me is when they all have frontal line/cone attacks and you have to dodge all that shit the whole fight.
I am looking at YOU, Biasts and Dragons in The Aery.

Yes, chrysalis is a bit of a pain, there's always someone grabbing triple debuffs and dying, tanks ignoring meteor and dps not focusing the rift. That aside, healing doubles and triples was the easy part for me when I recently returned.
That aside, all of the expansion dungeons and trials so far (I'm 57) are quite easy, only thing I had a bit of difficulty was the boss in the vault, where I wiped a few times but then learned that if you zoom out a bit and face north (where the knights come from) everything gets easier.

So besides the Chrysalis thing, are we brushing past how the other examples of research-requiring encounters were snowcloak and keeper of the lake?
I'm on the chrysalis-aint-nothin-special side of things, but even assuming the opposite for the sake of argument the other examples don't hold up, so there would still only be 1 relatively difficult encounter.
When in doubt, assume sarcasm

Who the heck needs to research mechanics for 4 mans, just go in there.

mechanics in those storyline dungeons are so easy. you probably be able to explain it to the newbies in one sentence and they'll understand everything right away.
dont know i just took my first run at dusk vigil with no wipes , now i am at ravanna i stopped to do researching on it then i ll continue
have a higher item level to make things easier

The idea that you need to research the dungeons in the story is somewhat laughable. You really don't.
But I agree that they should NOT be barriers to your continuation of the story. Frequently some of my free time to play falls in the very early morning before I go to work for the day. During that time I was wanting to progress my story so that I could get into heavensward(this was the day before the servers went down to apply early access). Unfortunately after 2 hours of waiting(on Balmung, the busiest server and data center there is), I couldn't get a group, thus barred from continuing my story as I desired to do.
THAT is a problem. And it will only get worse as people level their characters high enough that they never have any reason to do those story-specific dungeons and trials again.
Agreed completely. Having to complete content that nobody wants to do anymore in order to access the new content is bad design. Unless SE either cut back on the required quests needed to enter HW or give incentives for level 60 players to help out then the only people who will be able to reliably access HW in the future will be those in a FC or with friends. No doubt someone will jump in here and tell me that friends and a FC are needed in this game anyway (which I know), but it shouldn't be a barrier to progress into more SOLO content.Unfortunately after 2 hours of waiting(on Balmung, the busiest server and data center there is), I couldn't get a group, thus barred from continuing my story as I desired to do.

Having friends gets you far in life.. and this game.
Make some.
