man, you are lucky. I got in a party with new dps and healer. The healer did ok, but in the beginning, he spent most of the time dpsing even after I constantly said to just heal until he get used to the mechanics (yes I know the new dungeons are easy, but some people need more time than others), and the dps would not dodge the aoe (why do people complain just because they need to dodge/move/run from the aoe /facepalm) and forget to use LB. People need to learn that limit break is very useful. I remember hearing other players in low level dungeons laughing about the "stupid idea/use" behind limit break (this was 4 weeks/ more or less/ before the expansion).

Let's remove challenges so everyone can play together all the time.
Oh wait, then there would be no reason to do anything.
not that the normal dungeons are/were challenging. maybe you wipe if nobody knows the mechanics but in general its like watching a movie

Lol was doing the HW dungeons and got some new people in my group, they announced they were new and asked if there was anything they should know(see where im going with this?). You know what i said before each boss(if it was right to say so)Spank or Faceroll..that is dungeon bosses in a nutshell. All you needed to do was ask but instead you decided to complain, basically about how ignorant you are and how you yourself do not want to try at anything.

    Good luck at level 60

The fact that most people can go into these dungeons blind and never utter a word besides "hello" at the beginning of the dungeon and coast through it unscathed is sad. Threads like this are why we can't have any difficulty. It is a shame people get so bent out of shape for minor failures. None of the story stuff needs a video guide. Trial and error should be part of the game.
sounds like you also played FFXI

honestly, the story dungeons, even the new ones, are not that hard. How did a friend say "hit shit, dodge shit" >>.

Most of the people will help you, if you ask. I only get frustrated if the new guy does not say "hey, can you explain whats going to happen"..why is that so hard?

These fights really aren't difficult (coming from endgame perspective and even that's shruggable now with echo). I main a healing class and I've gone into every single one of these new dungeons/trials as a newbie. It's ok to be new and make mistakes as long as you learn from them. Just know your class and be prepared for the jump in content where the enemies are hitting the tank harder leaving you less time to dps and you need to do more dodging. Tell people you're new to the instance and they'll most likely explain important mechanics to you. If you are nervous still, find a friend to come along with you when you run something. The content is meant to be enjoyable, not a chore.

I had one wipe on the Nidhogg's dragon lover boss in all 5 story dungeons because people got confused with the wing phase for some reason. A quick chat after the wipe fixed everything. Every one was done through DF. I realize it's anecdotal, though thats been my experience this xpac.

none of story dungeons is tough its just you lack skill as WHM in higher levels , you dont need to even research its simple or you were with a really bad group. and in heavnsward all dungeons are story related, its needs practice,if you are ranting at this small level life isgonna be difficult at higher levels, either choose a different class or practice and pay attentention

When I first started playing FFXIV, I was too afraid to go into dungeons ('cause of social anxiety). I didn't want to meet mean people and I didn't want to make mistakes, so there was a bad feeling inside of me, always.

And while it's true that you will meet a lot of people complaining about everything, you'll meet more nice people willing to help you.
They won't hate you just because you don't know mechanics straightaway. But know what? You'll learn them quickly and soon everything will work fine!

Now I love running through (new) dungeons, meet people and learn new mechanics because it's so much fun.
Don't complain, have fun playing that awesome game!
