I'm sorry, what? In a game where we already have Au Ra (soooooo neotenous it's ridiculous), catgirls & boys (high neoteny AND cat-person fetish pandering) and Lalafell (as potato-like as they are), you're worried about a new race in-between Lalafell and Miqo'te/Au Ra attracting a NEW crowd?

THEY'RE ALREADY HERE. Anyone who wants to pedo it up is going to do so, and there ain't a thing you can do about it. Not that it matters either way - it's entirely up to the devs to decide who they want to pander to (and they WILL pander, as the Au Ra made abundantly clear), and your or anyone else's input isn't going to change that.

two things when ever i see stuff like this: A, when you put a "child" in a lot of the gear in this game you have people who think that is risque, one of these people being the folks at the FBI. combine that with point B, being that there are people who find that to be attractive, and make fan art of this. Ok, we have just created child pornography, yes the character is 21, but lets face it in the eyes of the law thats what this is... and i dont care how cute it is, i personally feel anything childlike shouldnt be allowed anywhere near this game... but then again we have Japan... >.>

Odd, it seems to me that this thread is full of people "bringing someone's race into a debate" since page one.

I found a cute NPC I've never seen before, and I clearly went hype mode by stating "OMG we need this now". From there, I've been basically accused of being a pedophile by people playing female miqo'tes.

The male Miqo'te don't have "High neoteny" but I'd agree completely otherwise, the Miqo'te and Au Ra at least attract some of those groups. But.. Adding literal playable children is only going to pull more of that crowd to the game. I'd hope SE wouldn't actively work to pull more of it here, least we end up with a game where the population pandered to is literally pedophiles.

And I'd prefer the company not drift further into it. Given that they keep touting, both SE and the fanbase, about how SE loves feedback and listens to the fans, yes, enough output will change it. And hopefully SE is moral enough to not encourage it further. If enough people complain and let SE not to do this, SE might just change, but instead folks just sit on their rumps and accept whatever has been given to them, no matter how creepy or morally awful it is.

By even mentioning the term loli, you are implying a sexual connotation to the request to have them in game. It also doesn't help that your signature is of a 15 year old girl in a rather sexualized position.

This is getting obnoxious. Yes, sure, some of the folks it can attract can be creepy, but then again, the game already has tools to deal with people who are obnoxious in public channels: the report function. (And also /blist.)

More importantly, you'd deny the many players who aren't sexually attracted to such characters the opportunity to play as something cute entirely because of the minority of players who like to be gross in public? That's not cool, man. That ain't cool at all.

Look, I'm not on your side here. You won't convince me to not push for a cute race that isn't potato-monster-Lalafell. It's extremely high on my list of priorities and no amount of creeptastic weirdos can convince me to let it go. Sorry, but them's the breaks.
