And so do I. And yes, we need more beast-looking races. Everything is so cute, this is all rainbows and floating hearts. I wouldn't play them but I know plenty of people that would. There you would have more variety, everything is human looking now. Even if the difference is noticeable, specially with the latest race, (an odd-designed Au Ra), they're still human looking.

You guys really need to give up on the not-so-human-looking playable races. They (as in the Japanese playerbase AND the developers) just don't care for it, for whatever reason. Plus the devs have already said that they're shooting for what would be popular instead of what would be unique (yes, really, they stated this outright). So, sorry, but your dreams have been crushed.

No, Lyn are definitely waaaay different from Elin.

For one, the character creation doesn't suck ass, so you can make an older-looking Lyn (including elderly Lyn with wrinkles and facial hair and everything) pretty easily. This also means that they don't have those ridiculous Elin body proportions forced on them (though they ARE capable of mimicking their proportions thanks to the body sliders).

Secondly, as mentioned, Lyn have both male and female, and the two look pretty much identical outside of hairstyles and facial hair options. Which means, of course, that the Lyn are not just the 'cute' race, but also the 'androgynous' race (even moreso than Lalafell). It's very easy to genderbend with them if you're so inclined.

Thirdly, and most importantly, they're not anywhere NEAR as sexualized as the Elin are. Whereas Elin only ever wear sexualized outfits with a few token exceptions, Lyn are the exact opposite. The play up the cute angle considerably more often. That's not to say that some 'sexy' outfits don't exist, but they're the exception, and you have to go out of your way to find them. Kind like you do now with Lalafell, heh.

Yo, chill, my child. It's not even a deep desire that need to be fulfilled. It would be neat if they could include them. I'm fine either way and I'm sure everybody is fine with that too.
