Why do we need it? Hell, they're other niches I'd say that need to have more of a focus, such as a race with big tough women and small cute men, especially with the inclusion of the Au Ra. Turns out, we've got different ideas. The issue is the "Loliqo'te" has some really creepy things attached to it, while making a race with reverse sexual dimorphism isn't! I might be fine with it if the children were locked in the tin can armor sets forever.

Cool, last thing we need to do is allow people to do that sort of stuff even easier. Just because people will sexualize it, doesn't mean we should both allow it to continue and make it easier to happen. I mean shoot, people are gonna do plenty of awful things, laws and social pressures exist to prevent those sorts of things because they are objectively bad.

It doesn't but it sure as heck makes it a lot more possible. The point is, creating a race that is literally meant to look even more like a child is going to continue to encourage pedophiles and other creeps to waltz into the game feeling welcomed. The point is, creeps will see this game as a more welcoming place for them if they see the devs creating a race that fits their gross tastes. The worst part, is FFXIV might end up in a TERA situation, where devs begin to cater to those creeps, get away with it by saying "Lol don't worry! We don't condone it, we just can't stop it from happening!", and the end result? The community becomes an awful place for normal people who don't want to be associated with creeps. Hint hint, normal people don't want to see children running around in sexualized outfits, especially whenever it's an adult behind the character. I'm sorry, but if you'd prefer the game be a safe place for pedos to express their crap over a safe place for people to not have to worry about that sick stuff, you're morally wrong.

The issue is arachnophobia is an irrational fear, one that can be overcome because it turns out an irrational fear of spiders is not only silly, but not good! Not liking pedophiles and not wanting them to have an easier time with their fantasies is incredibly normal considering what they do is massively psychologically damaging to children.

You don't have an option to dress around in a bikini and (E)RP all darn day in any of those games, or form communities within the game based around "Lol look how sexy my Lalaqo'te looks in this glamour, good thing she's a totally legal adult wink wink nudge nudge". Considering how in FFXIV, there's nothing stopping players from getting away with ERP. FFXIV allows you to have your character run around in fishnet stockings and a bikini top, Pokemon does not. What you are suggesting are False equivalencies.

Perhaps I needed to phrase it better, but the difference is FFXIV allows you to make your character look physically attractive, which is fine appropriate adult sexuality is fine, hence the gear sets like the bunny suit. People (Read pedos) will complain, probably saying "M-my Loliqo'te is a full grown adult! She should be allowed to flaunt her sexuality, not her fault that she looks like a 10 year old, when she's actually an adult!!". Assuming SE gives in, just as they would assuming this would become an option, then SE is allowing pedos to feel comfortable in their game, sooner or later we run into a TERA situation.

I've expressed several times, Lalafell are cutting it close to that creepy edge. The difference? The picture the OP linked is literally a Miqo'te child, Miqo'te look and develop similarly to humans. Lalafells aren't close to humans, and as several people have pointed out in the thread "I want to play as a child, not as a potatoe lol". That is a child, with child like proprotions, making it even more closer to a child. Maybe. Maybe. Make it an option, but severely restrict the clothes.

The OP isn't asking for "Characters that look like children but look like adults" (Despite that it is something people use to get away with creepy pedo stuff), the OP is asking for Miqo'te children. It's now shifted to just saying the Miqo'te child is a Lalafell/Miqo'te hybrid, whenever I'm fairly sure that's nothing like that would look.

Jesus christ you guys, these are kids here, virtual or not, why are you all fine with giving people the option to sexualize them?
