Thread: 3.0 Gil Earnings

I recently got lucky with a lvl 55 highland exploration venture and got a part for a new minion, and sold it for 1.9 million. As for my future gil making plans, I've been leveling my weaving and I'm gonna make a bunch of Ramie thread/cloth and see how much that can get me.

Gardening, unhidden maps, and a few other things a buddy and I are trying to edge others out on. Making about 3m a day with all of it combined just myself. I think he's averaging 1.9-2.2m because he doesn't bother with gardening.

I've made about 4 million gil since the 3.0 release. A lot of that was from dragonskin treasure maps (a single Thavnairian silk was 3 million) but also from minor playing of the market board while leveling craft jobs. (How much is that item I need to turn in to the GC selling for? ...Whoa, that's a lot. I'm going to make two of those and sell one.)

Casual fishing 30min to an hour a day, 5 days a week, and made 2 million just this week easy. I deal in 3-4 items in one HW map almost exclusively, and sell them in batches so I don't flood the market and drive prices down. There's probably like only 3-6 people who sell these items on my server so we keep prices steady, except for that one guy who undercuts all the time.

I just sold monster drops and most of the HQ gear from quests and made over 3mil. I also sold some Highland Bardings before others started crafting them and netted a quick mil from that (the prices went from 900k to 300k overnight).

Give or take 200-230m from playing the markets, crafting, gathering, and gardening.

Before completing any quest that rewards Materia, go check the Market Board. Easiest way to make a few million while leveling. The craftsman Materia usually sell for 100k to 250k based on which one it is. The gathering Materia are between 40k and 80k. These are the prices for the Tier IV. Tier II and III for crafting is usually pretty absurd for the level (20-50k).

So, roughly 1 million from quest rewards and leveling to 60. About 1-2 million from selling Materia quest rewards or converting gear into Materia to sell after leveling. Not bad for new players.
