This may sound dumb, but I need help recruiting players

So I'm totally in love with that gorgeous recruitment bonus dragon they're giving out, the colors are just stunning but I have no one IRL or online that wants to play this game much less sub for long enough for me to get this dragon.

I'm not sure where to turn and who to ask so I'm posting here, posting about this on GameFAQs gets you modded and I honestly have nowhere else to ask.
Any advice would be appreciated on where I can find people interested in the game so I can recruit them.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post on guys, I'm bad at internet stuff and like social networking and such

Some folks sent recruit a friend emails to themselves to generate a friend code, and the just posted the friend code on the New Player forums section for people to use. When the code is used you'll get an email.

Other folks, have sent themselves recruitment emails and then bought extra copies of the game and created multiple SE accounts and attached the code that way. If you go this route, you'll pay about $60 for 3 copies of ARR at its current price, unless you can find it on sale somewhere. Just a heads up if you go this route.

Otherwise it may be difficult, but you could ask around if anyone's interested on other forums, and maybe someone will message you back.
    Good luck!!

They should change it. I've been subbed since 1.0 and all I have to show for it is a tattoo on my back that no one sees anyways and that's my thanks for spending a ton of money supporting the game.

You could always buy the game when theres a sale, make an alt account, recruit that account and cancel the account but by that point you're basically paying for the mount like you can in the SE "cash shop".

I get the incentive but it's not realistic.

thanks, I considered buying an extra account but the cost is too high for me, posting the code on forums is a sound idea but it gets you modded on gamefaqs.
So I just generate codes and post them on a forum? What's the best forum to do this on?

I dont understand what SE is thinking, why not put the recruitment mounts on the cash shop? The Odin mount have showed SE that there is a demand for new mounts, so why not give players the option to buy the mount and get it as a reward from recruiting newcomers?

Probably because gamers tend to go for the path of least resistance, meaning most would just buy the mount from the store rather than go through the trouble of recruiting a friend into the game (particularly one that is going to continue subscribing). I suspect in the long run that would mean less money for SE.

It's completely realistic. The real problem is everyone wants in on an item that happens to be a reward for a very specific purpose: recruiting friends to play the game.

I brought a friend in to play FFXIV with me via this campaign. 8 months later we're still playing it together every day, with no plans on that changing anytime soon. It's that simple, and that realistic.

Yes, if you're trying to work the system specifically to get "reward stuff" (by buying multiple copies/subs or throwing codes out to random strangers and hoping to score a long-term player) it's going to be annoyingly frustrating - mainly because it wasn't meant to be done that way.

I get it.. some people had all their friends join prior to this campaign's introduction and now have no one left to bring in. But whether it's game-stuff or real-life stuff, there are going to be plenty of times where we all miss out on a special offer because the timing just happened to be off. It happens, yet somehow the world keeps on spinning.

Personally, I'm just happy that SE is being nice enough to continue to reward participants of the Recruit a Friends campaign regardless of when their participation began (rather than limiting this to only new recruited friends going forward). And while I understand the notion of wanting credit for friends invited prior to the introduction of this campaign, we both know there is zero way for them to truly know who was brought in by whom without those recruitment codes. It is what it is.

Quick question but will it work if I register another ps4 liscence on my account? And will it affect my login on my main liscence?
