Chocobos don't die. They get sent to the Shadow Realm and can come back.

I'm okay with chocobo death, but I kinda like the idea of letting your chocobo live our its final days with other chocobos, they better not say "in the wild" c'mon, a chocobo raised day one by a human probably can't even survive in the wild we know that from other animals, but an imaginary old chocobo home would be nice. I don't want to use my chocobo up until he dies, then I personally feel like I used my chocobo to death, and I'm no better than a slave driver lol.
