    to heal a warrior after heavensward

    i just want to ask if i'm understanding it right.

    most of the new healskills the scholar(and the changed lustrate) and whitemage are counting as skills instead of spells wich results in nit being effected by buffs/debuffs that alter the healingamount of those spells. in the case of the warrior - Defiance.

    this means, that the Warrior is getting a disadvantage compared to the Paladin and Darkknight.

    Also i dont know if the Astrologian also has the issue that some heals are "just skills".

    What are your thoughts on this. for me it feels like SE didn't rly thought this change to the end.

    Well depends if you are looking for fair and even, or if you prefer a system all over the shop that is dynamic and changing and that you need to alter style of play for. I say mix em all up and have some fun watching everyone trying to adapt

    in case of a DRK i would wait to judge as the players didn't had much time to learn the job and how to lower the incoming damage. for me the skill-kit looks pretty much like the Paladin.

    the disadvantage due to this heal"skills" should not be that overwhelming as they are not the "bread and butter skills" (well lustrae somehow is) i guess, but this heals are just 20% less efficient on a WARR compared to PLD and DRK

    Dunno. Had a Warrior with 15K HP in the Vault last night who was a pain to heal. But he could have just been bad with his cooldowns. Need to heal more of them to know.

    I do find Warriors a bit more annoying to heal compared to before. I guess it's because Vitality has shot ahead at full speed compared to healing spells, along with several key spells like Lustrate, Asylum and Tetragrammaton not being affected by Defiance.

    That said, a helpful tip! It might just be a coincidence (though one I'm growing increasly confident in), but it seems that healing spells are also guaranteed to crit if you heal the Warrior from the side or the back whenever Raw Intuition is active.

    Well, this, despite being somehow logical also sounds to weird at the same time. If this is right - did none of the dev's ever actual tested these abilities?

    This was actually an issue with Awareness back when the game was first released. Awareness prevented the effect of criticals from any source (including healing), so it was actually to your potential detriment to pop Awareness at times.

    I imagine this is another similar oversight and will be fixed like how Awareness was fixed.

    I do hope the whole "Ability" Cures not affected by potency is also an unintended effect and will also be fixed. If anything, they should at least change Defiance to be affected by Lustrate / Asylum / Assize / Tetragramatton / Essential Dignity etc. as this may indirectly make WARs less desirable in content.

    For now though, I'm just going to assume WARs will be a bit more difficult to "clutch heal" on SCH and compensate to reflect this. Hopefully we get a response soon, though this concern seems pretty low ATM as I made a post about it in the general forum that was pretty much buried under all the server issues we've been having with EA.

    I've been playing Warrior since the expansion and I've been wondering why Lustrate felt so underwhelming! Hope its just a bug!

    I've been having this problem with warriors since early release as well. I thought it was only me but glad to see a thread on it. Doesn't matter what dungeon we are doing ... I have to spam Cure 2 to stop WARs from dropping like a rock, which eventually gives me severe mana issues. I THOUGHT I was just getting bad tanks that couldn't use cooldowns properly but I don't think that's the case any longer. I don't know what's up but I'm wondering if this is a bug. I tried running with my static's WAR today in Sohm Al as well and I had a difficult time keeping up ... and he's an awesome WAR ...
