Why is everything involving Aetherflow an ability?

I initially thought Lustrate being unaffected by Fey Illumination was a bug but when I read a little closer, I realized it is not a spell at all, it's an ability.

Indominability is the same thing. I don't understand the logic behind this. I get that Lustrate is a bit of a panic button. It is 600 potency without cast time and it is fairly spammable. However, the fact that it can't be buffed at all is a bit discouraging.

What makes it even more bizarre to me, is that our own fairy seems unable to buff the skills she imparted onto us? I get that Adloquium and Physick gets a boost (thank goodness) but what's the logic behind making Indominability and Lustrate unaffected? Would they be too overpowered with a 20% buff? What about Dissipation? Does Lustrate and Indominability count as "Healing magic"?

This seems to have been a bug/oversight. They probably forgot to fix this because Lustrate used to be the only Aetherflow heal and was %-based, so it didn't matter.

Of course, if they fix the issue by classifying them as spells, we lose the once-in-a-blue-moon advantage of being able to use them while silenced, but I certainly wouldn't complain about the trade-off.

To add to Cynfael's post, someone reported this as a bug and it has been accepted as a bug. So hopefully we get some resolution soon.

Oddly enough though, Divine Seal affects Assize but not any of the other abilities.
