    Doma Lore Please?

    Hello lore forums,

With the coming of the Au Ra, the Raen having Doman names, and plenty of other things, I'm curious as to where lore on culture, society, and what have you can be found on Doma or if we could get some for the usage of the community. Something official would be splendid.

    Thanks!

Have you done the ninja storyline? That has a lot of information in it, outside of the 2.0+ quests.

They have a concept of "adventurers" if you speak to one of the kids or a doman npc. As soon as they move into Mor Dhona one of them mentions that there are people similar to adventurers, "Warriors without masters" that wander the land. Of course, this sounds more the a Ronin/ rougue Samurai

I actually think that's what they were really meaning there, not quite understanding the whole concept of adventurers, which basically means they don't have/never had a formalized adventurer system like Eorzea has (one of the Domans earlier in the story mentioned that if they actually did have adventurers in Doma, they might have stood a chance at resisting the Garlean invasion, ironically the whole reason Eorzea has adventurers in the first place!).

So yeah, I think they were just foreshadowing the possible future addition of the SAM Job and a possible backstory for the Job provider as a masterless SAM (a ronin) - kind of like how Thancred and Yugiri's skills in Through the Maelstrom hinted at ROG and NIN before they were actually added to the game.

So much hope for Samurai to be added in a 3.x patch. I'd love to see it add to the dps classes.
