Hello,

I've seen so many ppl with sub-classes ( I'm only talking about disciples of war and magic). Do i need to increase the lvl of my others classes in order to survive with my gladiator or there is nothing wrong go only with gladiator?

Ex: I saw a lvl 36 gladiator with lvl 22 archer, lancer, marauder and thaumaturge

Yes you need many skills from other classes to be a good Gladiator.

Absolutely. You should plan on getting to r30 in at least MRD and PUG.

It doesn't take more than 2 hours to get any job to r15, next time you're bored, just pick up a different weapon for a while...

It all depends on how much you want to maximize your jobs.

Gladiator alone is good at mitigating non-TP attack dmg from mobs, but outside that it is fairly weak at building hate, dodging Special attacks, and dealing dmg with Glad only abilities.

Optimal would be: Listing a few big items you get that are usefull in different fights while tanking.
Mar 48 (Warmonger, disorient, defender II)
Pug 42 (taunt II, Feather Foot II, Accomplice)
Lnc 36 (Diversion)
Arc 36 (Decoy)
Thm 50 (Sac III, Siphon mp II, Emulate, Contagion)
Conj 48 (Cure III, Chainspell, Spirit Bind)

Now this is not all required to be successful but the more you have the better tank you will be. Most those above are only really good in longer fights (ogre/Batraal/World NMs). Outside those doing dmg and helping kill faster will be more beneficial, so using more DMG+ stuff would be help.

In the end like with almost all the jobs now, the more you level the better you get. That is really true when being faced with mobs that hit for over 900dmg a punch.

Hi Massimo, unfortunately, with the current system in place, the answer is yes, you would need to level up other classes to improve your functionality as a Gladiator.

If your desired role is to tank for your party, you will likely dabble into the mage classes to learn their healing abilities, and other war classes to get their enmity management abilities.

Starting from scratch or near scratch, this will probably take more than two hours, but you'll find that your physical level will increase as well, giving you more points to work with.

If I understand SE's goal, it's to be able to add a "job" system on top of the classes, so that you could become a single job and still perform well in a group without having leveled up many classes.

when the job system comes out it may eliminate the need for having to have so many "subs". you could focus on glad for now and wait and see. I have glad 50 pug40-42(cant remember) and mar 21. I also pull sills from several other classes. As the game is now you prob wont be a very good tank at 50 with no sub skills, reason being: you will only have provoke and wardrum as you main emnity skills. if your mob leaves you while these are on cool down there will be nothing you can do.

If you only wanna lvl one class with no subs id prob go with archer.

I have intimidation. I have considered take mar higher but I really have no prob tanking now so idef2 and war monger would just be a bonus. Waiting on jb system before I rank it any higher.

Def2 is at 48, that would take a long long time. Way too long for what it's worth, lol.

Yea I know.I've been working thm up to get sac 3.I'm pretty sure paladin will have some sort Of cure 3 also.
