Can't choose a race!

Someone help! I've been re-rolling the same toon over and over again! I initially started out as a Roe, but saw a sweet looking Hyur running around Uldah and decided that needed to be me. Then I saw a youtube video of a cool Lala Lancer, and immediately rerolled as a Lala. Now Im on an Elezen kick! How dod you decide what race to stick with?

Lala, always was, always is. I don't have the cat girl fetish, and don't want every guy in the game assuming i'm a girl and getting e-molested. I don't like galka because I have a phobia of large people. Elvaan are pricks from ffxi, so I'd never do that. Lala's are cute, compact, silly, and not very serious, kind of like me!

So basically, it's what represents me as a person!

Just play around with the ones you like, try out all their emotes, and stick with what you like best =P

There's no difference between races in this game past level 1 so pick whichever is best for you.

I've always been one for Elezen/Elvaan... especially the females. When I played FFXI's beta test my first character was an Elvaan female named Gloria. I didn't play as her long, I created many characters... when FFXI retail rolled around I made a Mithra, then a Galka, and one day I saw this Elv F beastmaster running around looking all sorts of cool and I ended up rerolling once again, finally stuck with a character that time! I played Elvaan female since. I have 2 accounts on FFXI with Elvaan females and 2 accounts on FFXIV with Elezen females.
It's pretty much set in stone for me now. Glad they look so great in this game. (the /dance emote is kinda cruddy though)

As someone who regretted not being a taru in FFXI (I was hume), I knew what race I was going to be in FFXIV long before the game even came out.

I will probably reroll when the game starts fees. I am torn between lalafell and male miqo'te, waiting to see how they will look. have always gone with human like characters in MMO's, I'm planning to break away from that!
