Ever since the new dev team got in charge of the game, you did a really good job on resolving a lot of issues, adding content and making this game appealing to a wider range of players.
However, ever since these forums went live, “problems with the way the servers work” has been a popular excuse to many critical issues and popular valid requests.
Examples of these issues linked to server problems (feel free to correct me or add some to the list):-Linkshell management
-UI lag
-“/sea all” type commands
-LFG flags
-Market Wards (full wards, functionality)
-Mail/Delivery system
-Macros lag, overwrite and functionality
-Enemy interaction lag (visual signs of enemies starting skills and their position while moving are always few seconds behind their real progress). Same could be said for our own lag, hurting overall fluidity and response in battles. It can’t be instant, but I don’t believe it can’t be improved.
-Oddities like repairs taking 2 bazaar spots since item and reward transactions can’t be processed at same time
As far as I know, we never had any update on resolving these infamous server issues. We only know that you’ve been “looking into it” for months.
Can we have some information, details, progress, timeline, anything? Do you have people actively working on that? Do you have solutions to these issues, even if they require months? Is it unsolvable? Did you drop the ball because it would require too much manpower to change the game foundation?
This game has some nice features and keeps improving every patch. The other incoming changes and updates are also promising, but as long as these server issues plague it, its potential to become a healthy long living MMORPG once it stops being free to play might be greatly reduced.
