nVidia driver stopped responding since Heavensward

    DX11 mode
    Borderless
    Maxed settings
    350.63 driver
    980 TI

Basically, the only thing that changed is the patch + DX11 enabled. Since then I have had 4 display driver issues.

I tried setting overclocks to 0, even though I can play GTAV at max settings with 150/150 o/c for hours without a crash.

Nothing at all has changed on my PC other than the client for FFXIV.

    Anyone else getting this?

    Same issue

I had this issue, and the only way I was able to resolve it was to lower my Core and Shader Clock speeds using MSI Afterburner to a level that won't give me the error:

    MSI N470GTX Twin Frozr II

Good luck and hope this helps.

Did you have to actually underclock it then?

This is a really common solution to this driver error. nVidia drivers generally only stop working when there's an actual error, or when your GPU is trying to work too fast yet not being able to draw enough power to support that speed, which is why underclocking your GPU might fix this. Really you SHOULDN'T have to do this, because as you've said you can play GTA with some pretty decent overclocking with good stability, so its not that your GPU can't handle the overclock you have, its more than likely the nvidia driver confusing itself and an error specific to the new Dx11 client.

I must admit I'm amazed SE didn't work with nVidia to get a launch day driver out - nVidia work with everyone to do it - yet apparently not SE for FFXIV...so annoying.

This is the state of my card at the moment of crash. As you can see, up to the crash, nothing really changes (the crash is just to the right of centre). Not much use I know other than to rule out something suddenly going crazy. Temp at crash point was a horrifically hot 43c

Edit: actually....memory controller load seems to go to 0 a few seconds before the crash...
