Wheres the free login?

Hear me out before you groan!

Now i understand and cringe at the thought of a free weekend on the opening of HS and what it does to ques but im still curious. The free log in weekend started today but not only do i see no notice of it anymore(i think se likely hid this to cut down on server stress) I think if they canceled it they would make note of it but I have a secondary account that i haven't had the money to cover the last while and they have mats id really like to get at. So i was looking forward to obtaining my items. anyone heard anything about it not happening or being postponed? Or some super special steps im suppose to take in order to activate it for the log on period?

That's not free login. that is simply an event for returning players to get stuff from.
if that's not what you mean, then I don't think i've seen the news, so i wouldent be able to help.

Eligibility
Players who have subscribed to FINAL FANTASY XIV prior to March 31, 2015 and have not logged into the game between Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and Sunday, June 7, 2015.

* Those who are playing the Free Trial version are not eligible.
