What is "Account Basic Service"?

I have an account called "Account Basic Service" that I registered on April 30th. It says that it is registered. I also have my current account that I'm playing right now called "Final Fantasy XIV". I'm wondering what the first one is, and how I can access it. I believe that is where my original character is, and I'd like to find some way to log into that account but I cannot see it under my account service options. Does anyone have an idea about what to do?

"Account Basic Service" just the date your Square Enix account was created, nothing more (verified this by looking at my own account history and scrolling back to the start). Although slightly confusingly every time a token was added/removed from my account it also added the line "Account Basic Service", but the only time I have that on it's own with nothing else was the first entry, when my account was created.

Each SE account can have up to 8 XIV service accounts within it (each being a separate subscription) and it sounds like you only have one service account because you said "Final Fantasy XIV" and if you have more than one the first one changes slightly in name to "Final Fantasy XIV 1".

The accounts page is more for global stuff (not just XIV related, XI and Tetramaster etc show up in it as well as any betas) and the Mogstation is XIV specific.

But it sounds like your other character you're looking for is probably on a different SE account (so different login details). If you have old emails they might be able to give you a clue as to the username and/or the email address you used so you can reset the password etc.

Huh. That's odd. I've only ever used one account, with one password. Maybe they can just move my character so I can use it again? I'd hate to lose 2 level 50 jobs and all that work for no reason.
