my 2 cents...
If you can play with bootcamp better than you do with the official application, then something its wrong with the official application. SE need to said something like this "Hey we are morons, we know we have a problem and we are working to fix it"
But this post have been all day with different name and nobody from SE its saying something, thats the real problem, the players that buy the game are the victims here.
They have relied to their Japanese customers yesterday. But nothing substantial happened so far. Here it seems that it is all our own fault.my 2 cents...

In fairness OP, theres something you need to take into consideration, not many devs develop mac version of games, when you then take account how many japanese developers are even familiar developing a game for a mac OS is a different beast, does it excuse them, no. However I will be somewhat honest but some expectations of this should of been known to you already. Its not the best thing to say but just wait it out, let the devs get better developing on this platform. I consider FF14 the only well made japanese developed title on a PC, rest of them do not run well even on PC and my system is quite high end.
WoW is also a 10 year old game with much simpler visuals....Your mac was also crap when it was new.
Side note: It amazes me that people still use macs. You can do practically everything mac does on pc for half the price. It still baffles me, even more so when people try to play games on it knowing full well developers don't really support macs.
Mac OS are so cumbersome to program and optimize for, which is why the tech and software world does not pay much attention to the platform. Sure there are some that do but the majority of things that are released, even outside of games, is not meant for Mac. Unless of course apple themselves make them, which even Apple creates for PC because they know that is where the majority of the market is.
Also WoW is a bad way to compare performance, it is 10 years old. With plenty of time to optimize for Mac.
For you, they are garbages. For me, both WoW and my MBP are precious.I am not a life-long Apple fan or anything. I used to change my laptop almost every two years. This MBP is the first one and it has been continuously working flawlessly for three whole years, no crash, no blue screen, no system reinstallation, life-long system update from Apple for free, no need to worry about virus etc.. You will never experience this consistent stress-free performance from any Windows OS laptop. If you really want to know why so many people are stupid enough to buy a MacBook/iMac, just go ask them.I can only speak of my own case.WoW is also a 10 year old game with much simpler visuals....Your mac was also crap when it was new.Side note: It amazes me that people still use macs. I understand this. However I really did not expect the Mac version can be this bad. If it has a slightly better result, I would not have even come to this forum.Mac OS are so cumbersome to program and optimize for, which is why the tech and software world does not pay much attention to the platform. Ignorant PC gamers sure are original these days... spewing the same garbage over and over again. Listen, the hardware isn't the problem; it's the software and lack of OpenGL support from the entire gaming industry (because DirectX is easier to develop on).
The concern right now is that Mac users can run the game just fine under Bootcamp and the performance hit on the "port" is apparently REALLY, really bad. I haven't tried it yet, I play the game using Parallels Desktop so I'm actually expecting a performance increase considering I wouldn't be running Winbloze in the background but I can understand why people can be pissed; they bought a separate licence and now they feel like they have to pay for yet another licence just to play Havensward.
These people wouldn't be complaining if we'd get a proper native application; designed to run on our OS. It's not like there's that many hardware configurations and couldn't test the damn thing before making promises.
