PS4 Smn Hotbar, how are you finding it?

Hey guys. Just looking to see if anyone has advice on getting their hotbars comfortable.
As i'm sure everyone is the same, my bars on summoner were filled pre HW, and now it's proving a nightmare!

I've got up to dreadwyrm trance, and am having to remove skills completely to make room for the new ones, or move them to another bar where it's not easily accessible during battle.

For reference, i'm using one main hotbar on front (ps4 control pad cross hotbar), and togglehold the extra bars at the back for 16 extra slots or something?

If needed i can post images of my bars later, but i really need advice on how to make this more convenient again. (This discussion applies to my scholar also actually, i'm having to either remove pet abilities which is removing my micro management options, or remove my macro'd healbombs :/)

Summoner - Should i remove the single dots that are activated using tri-disaster? I'm stumped as to how to make space while keeping my current abilities on the bars lol.

you can remove single dots from your main bar if you want but there will always be situations where Tri-D is on cooldown and you have to apply some dots.

i find it easier to organize bars based on situations i.e. single target, aoe, and DWT, pet stuff, support/misc, etc.. Out of the 16 buttons per bar, id say most of them are the same across all 3 bars with the two groups on the right being subject to change. since my bars for different situations are very similar, i feel as if it lends itself well to the muscle memory ive developed and requires less hectic bar swapping since i have the same options across many bars (e.g. dots and ruins)

For all classes, I use 3 bars actively when in combat: 1 and 2 are toggled by the R1 and 3 is accessed via the extended controls (L2+R2/R2+L2).

Hotbar 1 has the core components for my class. If I'm playing SMN or SCH, I have pet controls and skills on hotbar 1 plus the skills that I need all the time.

On the extended I have things I may need to be able to access quickly. For SCH, this is typically my damage spells and pet buffs. For BLM, I have my AoE skills on here. Melee jobs tend to have their cooldowns on here.

Hotbar 2 is for things I will use rarely. For SMN, this is where I put my summons and my raise, physick etc. Summons are also macros that replace hotbar 1 with the appropriate -egi/fairy skills.

Using the keyboard hot bars, you can also have a visible reference for when cooldowns are available without having to constantly switch between my 3 hot bars. This alone helps significantly. This can be done on all by the PS3.

Then, it's a case of practice and review.
