I said "improvements". I did not say "everything will be fixed."
Improving means getting better. It does not imply perfection, or even good enough.
With each patch since 1.15 SE has been continuously improving the game, and 1.19 will be no different. Add to this the fact that 1.19 is going to be the largest single patch yet (three times the size of 1.18 according to Yoshi), and anyone can see the game is going to be tremendously improved once that patch goes live (pending bugfixes, which are to be expected from any software release).
Even so, haters gonna hate. But that's getting more and more difficult for them, hence the necroposting.
Creating new threads means more to sort through. The old crowd knows that adding discussion onto whats already there WAS the common curtousy thing to do. God only knows how you guys got it in your head that keeping discussion in as few threads as possible was bad.
look it up on "Roberts Rules....." the world wide standard for order and etiquette.
As it directs there, they standard in online forum style debate is to maintain the discusion on topic in as few streams as possible. (paraphrasing) it goes on to dictate the opposite in standards in which unused thread streams are removed after a time of neglect or disuse.

I can understand not wanting to make a new thread only to be told "Use the search function", but some of them are ridiculous and completely out of date. A lot of them are old complaint threads that have been/will be addressed.

Obligatory "Don't raise me, bro!"
... Carry on.

I find it odd that this seems to frighten and confuse you. ^^;Said the dead post from six months ago.
Rather than necro'ing a thread and making people believe the dead have returned, I'm making a thread to awe at the revival of old threads and the confusion they're causing.
Is there another forum out that decided to find dead users and Raise them with injustice in their hearts?
And why do threads that have vague titles get the most attention?
sample thread title "zomg se I hate you!"
Body "because chocobo legs don't come with coleslaw. Please change this."
if thid thread isn't locked, I fear it will be a necro candidate to mock me.
As far as I'm aware SE wants us to use the search function on the forums to see if our topic is already being discussed and post there if so, rather than making a new thread.
I honestly find it more of a hassle to keep track of 5 threads of the same topic than just 1 or 2.

I think the necro posts would make more sense if the necro was on topic. But alas, tis' a passing trend for now.
And agreed if we could post in the one or two topics instead of the multiple topics, but I see why people make the extra topics. Often times, when people reply in a topic, when they don't get a response or a thumbs up, feel that they weren't read, or overlooked. A topic often results into two to three people going back and forth ~ often off-topic at that point, with most other on-topic posts ignored in between. And that feeling of not being heard makes people want to make their own topic, even if it's on the same subject.
Edit 2012.01.11: speaking necro's, the great thing about New Posts and such is that my edit should not trigger it! Allowing me to pry deeper into the bowels of posts long dead and forbidden! Mwee hee hee omigawd it's raining.
