Praise for Heavensward

I've been taking it slow and steady, a level a day, and let me say that it has been a pleasure to take things in and savor them slowly. The sheer joy of flying around on a chocobo (and now a griffin) is something else entirely. I stopped for a good five minutes just to watch the sunrise over Western Coerthas. Earlier I was treated to the aurora borealis.

I've honestly enjoyed myself. the new story is involving (some would have brought me to tears, i sadly forgot how to cry.), and dark knight is a fun job (much more intensive than paladin).

can't wait to see what the future holds as well.

I vastly enjoy the aesthetics of the new zones and how the DX11 effects really makes shadows and lighting pop out.

I agree.

It is by far the best expansion in MMO history, as I have expressed here on the forums previously. I've played every major MMO since the late 90s and have seen many expansions, but this is in an entirely different league.

This patch was nothing short of amazing. Getting around on foot seems frustrating at first because the zones are huge (and the maps aren't the greatest at showing elevation), but once you can fly you can really appreciate just how much effort went into the design. Each one I saw was better than the last. I've had an incredible amount of fun just flying around looking for all the sightseeing log entries (incidentally, thank you so much for not putting ridiculous time/weather restrictions on these, as they're wonderfully scenic at almost any time). I've had so much fun running the dungeons and other content with my friends and my raid static. I couldn't help but smile at the final trial of the story. The storyline itself was pretty amazing too - I laughed, I cried (I totally did at a couple of points), I stayed up till insane hours wanting to find out what happens next.

The only thing I didn't like was the insane amount of 'find the moogle' quests. Damn moogles. =.=

I'm constantly a little bit awed by each new zone every time i walk in and start looking around.

Then i think, Holy Jeebus, if this is what they can make that works on a PS3, just how mindblowing will the next expansion be without the PS3 limitations?
