so in the starting cutscene in arr, the adventurers were teleported to the world of arr, i guess. how is that related to the world of 1.0? Some people said that it's the future, but i thought the world was destroyed by bahamut.

They were transported 5 years into the future. There's a cutscene that plays when you defeat T13 that shows how Bahamut was defeated. You can also find it on YouTube be searching for Flames of Truth.
are you okay with being spoiled by the story of the binding coil of bahamut?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xOOFCltZuc luisoix stopped bahamut before that happened. turns out teraflare takes a long time to cast.
oh thanks guys, so is it supposed that the adventurer in 1.0 be the same guy as the one in 2.0?
oh haha ic, thanks a lot=)
Yes... Explanation below.
Louisoix, before becoming the primal Phoenix (as seen in T13 closing story video) cast a spell to send all the adventurers 5 years into the future (the start of ARR's story). All 1.0 adventurers arrive as if no time has passed. Bahamut did not destroy the word, he merely devastated the landscape of Eorzea (continent, the world is Hydaelyn).
The event you see in that scene was the Battle of Carteneau and depicts the original Warriors of Light (that is, players of 1.0 who had satisfied a story requirement - destroying the Lunar Transmitter that initially summoned Dalamud) being sent five years into the future.
If you're a new player of ARR however, story wise your character was not at this event - they were somewhere else in Hydaelyn and at the start of the game have made the journey to Eorzea to start life as a new adventurer. This also goes for 1.0 players who did not complete enough of the storyline to be treated as an original Warrior of Light - the game just assumes you were somewhere else during the Calamity and have returned to Eorzea as another random adventurer.
As for 'Derplander' and his friends, 'word-of-God' (from Ferne) has stated that Derplander and his party not only represent the player's character in trailers and advertising, they actually have their own unique story separate from the player, although what that story is, has yet to be revealed. There is a thread in the 1.0 Forum Archive that mentions this - I'll go looking for it and post Ferne's informative quote here.
EDIT: Found it.![]()
